We can do hard things…
one step at a time.
“We’re always in some kind of a mood. It might be sadness, it might be anger, it might not be much of anything, just a kind of blur. It might be humor or contentment. In any case, whatever it is, that’s the path. When something hurts, we don’t usually think of it as our path or as the source of wisdom.” - Pema Chodron
Feeling Confused or Alone?
Searching for answers.
Life experiences can tie you in knots and leave you feeling worried, tired, and stuck in a loop. Sometimes it’s challenging relationships with a partner or a boss. Or struggles with achieving the goals you set. You can find yourself lost and numbing out on TV, Facebook, alcohol or drugs, sex or the endless online shopping. You may wonder how you got here or how is it possible you’ve been in this stuck place so long.
We can also lapse into paralysis when one part of us wants to go one way while another part is pretty scared about that idea or it wants to go in a completely different direction. It can make you just want to sit down and cry. It happens to all of us. The difference can be how we handle those crossroads. How do we find compassion for all of it, including ourselves.
Exploration of your difficulties with compassion and curiousity can cultivate new understanding and openness which can provide internal spaciousness and wanted relief. The journey is to your true Self which holds inner calm, clarity, courage, and unwavering love for you. In the company of Self, your suffering can be transformed into a gift of knowledge and strength and quite possibly become your greatest power.
“Vulnerabilty sounds like Truth and it feels like Courage. Truth and Courage are not always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” - Brene Brown
